@VTDARKSIM So, that's when you asked a specific question of a specific person? Like, "At-Fred, how can I fix this problem with my toaster?"
@VTDARKSIM It sounds like you're talking about open questions ("Does anyone know how to fix my toaster?"), which feels like a different social context to me.
@evan @VTDARKSIM This matches my interpretation of the poll... a specific question to an identified individual (or small group). Also, I'm assuming that 'answer' implies good faith and not a non-answer answer.
@evan Yes, that's the way I roll.
@evan yes, but not if itβs unhelpful. Iβve gotten some really helpful answers and always try to thank the contributor. Iβve also gotten some βhave you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in?β kind of responses, or some that are just nonsensical. In those instances I sometimes just ignore them.
