In a sense, the image is correct. Emacs will survive the onslaught of those sirens.

@jack One aspect of that analogy is totally wrong: in the image, the human on the ship (Odysseus?) has by far the shortest lifetime of all creatures here within that painting.
In real life, #Emacs will still be around when all the others are long forgotten. 😉
