@neil I've got about 15 plugs (ESPHome version) and a Localdeck. On the whole, the experience has been great; I've had a couple of minor issues with the Localdeck (mostly around initial setup and it being a little picky about power) but I've not had a single problem with the plugs.
@neil Seconded. I've got loads of their smart plugs.
I've had two failures though. Both resulted in the plug cutting power. By luck none of the failed ones have been on fridges or freezers, although if I had a failure on those at least I'd get a temperature alarm from HA to warn me, so I haven't rushed to replace them yet.
@gilester45 Hmm... Not good!
@neil@mastodon.neilzone.co.uk On a related note, this seems like a good place to mention the awesome Tasmota Supported Devices Repository: https://templates.blakadder.com/
I have been really pleased with the LocalBytes range of IoT devices.
A couple of bulbs, and perhaps 10 smart plugs, which have, aside from this bulb issue, "Just Worked" for years.
