My launch day AirPods Max officially no longer have noise cancelling/passthrough and just sound like a perpetual wind storm, but given the price of replacements I'll just live with them in dumb, normal mode

@christianselig mine did something similar - turns out the pad on one side was upside down and didn’t detect my ear
@christianselig They were always too rich for my blood but in the last month I’ve picked up two (me and my wife) off the local used market for $140 each.

@christianselig I honestly just switched from the Max to the Nothing Pro 1. ANC isn’t as good, but the fact that I can use them wired (3.5mm) or wireless, and using them wired means the battery lasts for fuckin ever, and the EQ tuning allows me to dial them in the way I want, has been very nice.
