Conclusion: Firefox is a fucking joke
@mcc F-droid fennec on fairphone6 got it all green. Not sure which part helped
@mcc Which Firefox version? I'm getting green "Did not connect" checkmarks both on Windows (158.0) and Gentoo (156.0). Only Servo (on Windows) gets red "Connected" marks for me.
@jernej__s 158.0.1
Build ID 20261019185856 for Android
To be clear, I do often fuck hard with my Firefox settings but this particular mobile copy is basically untouched from defaults and I hadn't even disabled "AI" yet. I am *not* signed in however; I would never sign in to a web browser. Why would anyone do that.
Testing in Chrome, Chrome has somehow already corrected the certificates on this device.
I spoke to two people whose Android Firefox OneCRL somehow did update and they were both "signed in" to Firefox. Is OneCRL linked to "signing in"?
@mcc Checked in FF on iOS (I know it’s technically Safari), Linux, and Windows. None are signed in. All have the Certificates in question revoked. (I’d be *very* surprised/alarmed if CRL checks were dependent on signing in anyway.)
@mcc My 158.0 had revoked the certificates correctly; i am not signed in.
@mcc@mastodon.social on a fresh install of Firefox Nightly for Android to test, I'm seeing an even weirder behaviour whereby the first load of specifically these resources succeeds, but the others below always fail, and reloading the page causes them all to fail. Clearing the app's data reproduces this repeatedly. I've disabled the relevant trust roots in my Android system trust store too(!) - @firefoxwebdevs@mastodon.social not sure if you know the right people to look at this
@mcc Firefox on Android, "Did not connect" on all twelve. Not logged in (as you said, why would I do that?), stock settings apart from disable AI.
@mcc i signed in so I could send tabs from mobile to pc and vice-versa. Is that unsafe?
@mcc I'm on Firefox and mine doesn't connect to any of the hosts
@mcc I’m a few hours late to this, but I tried it from some Firefox & derivatives like fennec) running on various DUTs (iOS, LineageOS, Ubuntu), & got all green.
(Did not install any app or OS updates; auto-update was disabled on these.)
I guess there were issues with the CRL rollout? Maybe something to do with CRLite? (edit: or OneCRL, I might have gotten them confused)
