A new study reveals that people draw a surprisingly sharp line between human consciousness and artificial intelligence, even when both behave identically. Researchers found that participants considered even the most responsive AI less conscious than the least responsive human. Yet when asked about "awareness" instead, people judged humans and AI much more similarly.

How can a Lemmy user properly federate NodeBB categories?

Based on this comment:

There are some anomalies in the federation between Lemmy and NodeBB. In the past, I noticed that Lemmy only federated communities/categories where at least one Lemmy user had started a conversation. Yes, I know it seems like magic, but I imagine there is a reason for it…

@TheBreadmonkey This has led to my discovery that if you ask Google "how to enlarge an already gigantic forehead", it suggests a list of elective surgical techniques, most of which only enhance the appearance of forehead size and don't actually embiggen the noggin.
